Retune your DAB digital radio for new stations

New digital radio stations are being launched all the time. The autotune function (or auto scan, or retune - depending on your radio) will find these new stations and store them in the station list.

There was a gem of information right at the end there that isn't generally known or mentioned, i certainly didn't know about it. I've been retuning my pure and roberts radios as advertised by the likes of Absolute 80's but keep losing stations from the dial. It turns out that the reason why is that they have moved to DAB+ that is only available on newer model radios. Thanks for the tip.

My new Sony Dab tuner didnt find RTE 1 and RTe Lyric when i did initial scan . Yet small Roberts radio can pick it up in another room. Any ideas?. I live in N. Ireland

I can scan but when I turn the radio off all the stations are lost, so i have to scan every time I turn it on again. if you can help thanks.

I have a Pure ONE model Radio i lost full volume i only have Low volume. I Live in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 it was OK 👌 & it just happened ( why ) it’s in a very good condition only for in side the house 🏠 is it the large battery 🔋 in the Radio 📻 .

Problem is output from the Mux, some multiplexes have a greater power output to get the signal to a wider audience, others are more localised and therefore have less power output. I'd like to receive more than the usual suspects in the area I live in, but due to the small scale multiplexes for local radio in a neighbouring area, I get burbling until I get nearer the broadcast area. Also, there's the issue of compression rates with some stations, and even on dab+, they're shocking.

Of all the DAB radios that I have, none remove the stations, mostly regional, that I can no longer get, so I'm with stations for the West Midlands still on the unit even though I am well away from their catchment area.
Furthermore, Im finding, as highlighted by Techmoan, that the quality (bit rate) of the stations is rather poor, so I still mostly stick with FM.
