Me and my husband had to start minimalism. There was one time he was like I DONT HAVE SHIRTS TO WEAR! I counted all his shirts that night and counted 74 shirts and 8 pants. I told him afterwards, he was very disappointed with himself. We started to sort out his clothes, sold some and then donated most. Now he has 15 shirts and is very happy with it. He gets to wear all of them in 2 weeks (just in time for laundry) and we have so much closet space! IT is the way to go

Welcome fellow recovering materialists. Lol.

So clear and inspiring that minimalism is simply prioritizing what we always knew had a greater value and putting into practice living, thriving and being present.

MJ, you are a beautiful soul inside and out. Your video is like having a conversation with a friend who reminds one of what really matters. I appreciate how you talked about excitement vs contentment. I find the constant barrage of "over-the-top-ness" that the media and society tells us we need, to be exhausting. I don't need or want to be "on" all the time. I feel most authentic and content when I am practicing yoga surrounded by my pets. Or having a cup of tea after a walk outside. I am in a very high-pressure job and sometimes I wonder how much longer I can do it. I really long for more simplicity and authenticity. Thank you for your encouragement. Blessings to you and your absolutely precious pup. 🙏

I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed with life lately, my mind is in other places when they should be in the place that is going to allow me to grow. I’ve been seeking inner peace and calmness. My apartment tends to get messy when I get in my depressive episodes. I’ve read so much about minimalism and I do they it’s the start for a New beginning. I’m going to make a list of each room I’m going to work on and start my journey. I need to continue to watch these minimalist videos because they are so inspiring and motivating. Thankyou!! :)

Binging minimalism videos to get over my recent feelings of “house envy.” Trying to remind myself that my 1200 sq ft home is ENOUGH!

I had a similar experience with realising how important t is to just’be’ and not wanting anything excess when I had an AVM stroke and was hospitalised for 7 months and permanently confined to a wheelchair....it really changed my mindset after realising I could lose my life at 28 y.o.

Love this perspective and explanation. Thanks so much. 🙏🏽 I am very much intrigued. I’m so exhausted of feeling overwhelmed and anxious all the time. I feel minimalism could really help.

I am truly grateful for people like you posting these videos. There is something about being still and appreciating silence and our senses that we take for granted. Thank you for reminding me of something I had forgotten. This video is a must watch!

"it's not about deprivation" that depends on why you are becoming a minimalist, if it is for social/political reasons, particularly environmental reasons. then it is very different if you are doing it for personal reasons. If it's personal, money does not matter, if it's for society then you will seek to live on the lowest amount of money you can cope with.

This was a really great way to explain this, I appreciate your honesty and straightforwardness. It's hard to define and explain the process of growth and fulfillment that could be achieved through living the way of minimalism. Thank you
