I have done all of this like 100 times and literally none of it works at all. Complete waste of time.

I had a corrupt save game from Shadow of War uploaded in the cloud, but was able to fix it.
1st I went to "C:\Program Files and copied the saves to a backup folder, then deleted the originals. Then went to Games\Shadow of War" and deleted any save files there (they have same names as the 1st folder.) Then I let the Steam do the cloud sync and it downloaded the (corrupt) newest save to the 1st folder. Then I chose an older save (by file dates) and copied it to the 1st folder and renamed it to the name of the downloaded corrupt save and deleted the backup save. Then SoW starts normally with online-mode + cloud sync. And when you quit SoW, a new save is automatically created and sent to cloud (if you have Steam cloud save on from the settings-cloud, which is the default setting.)

I just reinstalled steam and the next morning noticed that there were no problems with cloud saves. I cursed every game, repeated the synchronization again and everything worked.
