that last drill with the exaggerated down up motion is what i do to warm up every time i play. its so good for getting the timing right with your hands if you havent played in a while.

I went to the driving range last night and they kicked me out for spiking a bowling ball off the mat. Not allowed back now. Thanks a lot

A lot of so called “long drivers” look as though they are hitting bombs because the swing speed is high but they actually loose a lot of form because they are focusing on hitting the ball too hard, sometimes a slightly slower and more controlled swing will result in a longer drive, I have taken about 5 MPH off my swing speed and I’m hitting the ball between 15-20 yards further

I think this is great. really it's just the fundamentals of the swing, take these same movments and swing thoughts and slow them down, swing a little more in control and it produces a nice solid golf swing. Or put them in overdrive for extra power.

Even if you perfect hard hitting while keeping balanced you still have to hit that three quarter wedge into the green. And still make the birdie for all of this to pay dividends. My point. Golf is a game of accuracy amd and consistency. A long ball doesn't really give you any advantage unless your wedge/iron game is properly dialed in. Even then you still need to be able to putt. And chip. So yeah, I'd rather focus on pure ball striking then this kind of long ball training.

If your (lower) back hurts when swinging full bore, you may need to strengthen your glute muscles. Also, you are potentially getting too far under the ball with your trail shoulder. This movement should not be painful if you are in at least decent shape.

For folks who don’t have a flag or bowling ball. Try a basic wooden housekeeping broom 🧹 to warm up. That stuff makes your clubs feel like pencil weight.

My back would be split in two if I did those exercises. I’ll stick with my 240 yd drives haha.

Oh yea this works, what you also need to do is get a 20' pc of angle iron and strap it to your driver and take a couple practice swings before you go out on the course. Definitely works

Out of control at the finish ...feet flying out from underneath him. How do you copy that swing every time? Where did the ball go?

Why would o throw the medicine ball to the ground? Wouldn’t it make more sense to throw it at the end of the full movement like a golf swing?

I’m a 42 yo army veteran. My back is shot. I have zero flexibility in my spine. I couldn’t do this if I wanted too. Still swing it about 110mph but it’s all arms and legs
