Sony came through with some surprisingly good dual speakers. The Note's speakers are as expected. The HTC U12+ speakers are best overall. And again, LG is still tops.

For the money, the G7 has the best value. I tested mine against the Note9 and a few others recently and the difference in wired headphone, wireless and speaker audio quality/loudness is far beyond anything available today. LG was also the first brand capable of MQA via the V30. Nobody beats LG in audio atm. I slapped on a $35 protective battery case and now I have 7700mAh of battery life. A real $755 audiophile beast.

Thank you!!! For me it's not the volume what matters, it's the quality. I love the way the Note 9 sounds.

Yea LG definitely superior I'm shocked tho.. I thought the HTC U12 an note 9 or razor would take it damn... LG is serious about cameras an sound quality... Samsung better stop underestimating them lol

The Note 9 Dolby Atmos setting sounds good. It's like surround sound.

HTC u12plus is the best sound great sound is so clear no distortion nothing. I listened to all phones they have a problem they sounds are not clear and a lot of distortion!

Hmm I just might get the G7 after all. I was waiting for the V40 but the G7 with the updated camera software to enable 4k60fps and reasonable price present a compelling package.

I am impressed with all of them in regards to their sounds. I think a person purchasing any of these devices will be pleased with the sounds they will be getting though the LG ThinQ really nailed it overall

I think the reason why the others showed much more of an improvement on the 'Surface' than the Razer is because of the speaker position. The Razer will just fire up, but the others will actually be bouncing sound off of the surface that it is on, which increases the overall volume.
This is the same reason why a DJ at a wedding, will have the sub on the ground and not up on a stage, the sound waves will bounce off of the floor and increase the volume.
And yes, I am a DJ just in case you were wondering.

awesome - been asking for a test like this with the Note 9 for ages... wondering where did the Note 8 place, if you've done this before...

You should compare with Xperia XZ3 instead of Xz2.

BIG.little speakers isn't a true stereo. It's like subwoofer+tweeter or DD+BA combination, where LG is more of like planar driver
