The E class looks like the much more refined, elegant, better designed and better all-round car than the 5-series.

That E-class looks very classy, but I definitely have a preference for white interior so the one they show really talks to me. My GLS63 AMG has a white interior while all my other cars are black, I just find the black interior kinda boring and definitely hotter during the summers. My current E-class is getting a bit older now, maybe it is time to upgrade that one.

For the first time in many years, I liked the e-class Mercedes more, and it’s more comfortable in the cabin in a Mercedes. However, you should not forget that Mercedes interiors creak, and the quality of BMW is a cut above. I have been driving BMW 5 series for many years and have gone through several generations, but this time I think I will give preference to the e class.
Еhe exterior for 5 series is of course a matter of taste, but has never been so boring and Asian. Disappointment! Well done Merc, i'm your new customer. I guess its gonna be my first merc!

I have a BMW X 5 series but this Eclass is really something else, i would choose Mercedes definitely

Between the two, I would select the Mercedes E Class. Personally, I’ve always preferred the look/aesthetic of a Mercedes sedan and a BMW SUV. Mercedes does it right with their sedans and BMW does it right with their SUV’s. Just my personal preference.

BMW 5 Series is better looking overall. At least 5 Series got identity brand and luxury brand. Compare to E Class but loses everything in terms of interior and quality.

Mercedes looks worse than before from interior and exterior. It just seems downgraded in aesthetics. Quite ugly

No trim on the door or dashboard..just a big fat ugly cheap plastic screen.

5 series exterior took a step backwards from previous gen. But interior is much better

BMW is more durable in its luxury class but just right behind Lexus. Mercedes is no longer compete with BMW for reliability and also losing to Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen

I look at 5 Series’ screen behind the steering wheel I remembered Mercedes A Class from 2018. Almost everything is from Mercedes even ambient lighting 😊

Mercedes Benz almost made a perfect futuristic interior, if it weren't for a speedometer screen outside, I hope that in the next model it will be built-in, yes built-in is more beautiful than loose. Mercedes Benz definitely made a better car than Bmw and also prettier.

Looks like I'm going back to Mercedes after 13 years... BMW's new 5 interior is just too choppy and the curved screen doesn't help. The only thing I wish they did with the E was to not use the square screen for the instrument cluster, I'd have preferred the original hyper screen with the integrated cluster and the small hood over it like in the EQE.
