Your efforts to answer questions that matter are very much appreciated. From my vantage point, your IC-705 was tuned to 7.173MHz. The Xiegu was indescribable. Maybe an aftermarket anti-glare filter could improve the situation?

Again, thank you.

That 705 is a big awkward looking brute of a yoke compared to the 6100.

Glad I got the FT-818.

Shame, on of my major gripes with the g90 is the screen in strong sunlight, I guess there must be some sort of filter that could be applied.

Why didn’t they bother making a transflective screen that could be viewed in sunlight? It’s the kind of radio that would mostly be used outdoors anyways

If you could only keep one of those radios for hf only (ignoring the 705 has vhf/uhf), which rig would you keep and why?

I would LOVE to have the 705, BUT two things the X6100 has that blows it out of the water....Antenna Tuner and smaller....Sorry ICOM

If you want a radio to do CW, you should know you cant use paddles on the xiegu 6100 or 6200... they claim you can, but the internal keyer is faulty. The internal keyer... when using paddles, will miss dits and dahs. Raddiodity, is currently trying not to allow myself return the X6100 for this issue, and my friend return his X6200 for same CW issue. IMO, other than the CW issue, these are great little QRP radios.

You can probably get a screen filter for the Xiegu.

So you really lied to us in your Sept 22 video about how easy the 705 is to see in direct sunlight. Got it.

No matter, you can get anti glare screen protectors for both radios
