Doing some research into AVB gear for when I need to upgrade to adding AVB in/outs. Digging real deep into the MOTU pro audio control and it’s quite daunting. Current project: doing entire mix through the MOTU mixer.

Anyway, it’s good to connect with other people who are also doing deep dives into MOTU advanced capabilities. I’m sure I’ll need to come back to this video at some point. lol

Awesome. Just testing AVB connectivity between a StudioLive 32s and a MOTU 16A. Couldn't figure out how to slave the 16A to the 32s, but I guess doing it the other way is fine.
Once I'm finished testing, I may replace my 32s with a 64s and have 48 inputs (plus 16 analogue outputs without having to go to interface mode).

how does this show up in audio midi setup on the Mac? as one device? My goal is to use one 624 connected to one Mac and one 8a connected to another Mac as a backup recording unit. I get the clock part but the routing seems to be an issue where I can't access all the analog channels on the AVB network.

What exactly Specs do you have relating to the Mac Book Pro M1 Pro which you have here? Why you didn't go with the 14"? I ask because I think about buying a Persons Rackmixer to and have to decide whether 16 or 32 RAM are already sufficient and whether the screen size of a 16" make a huge difference to a 14". Would you be able to use the Motu 24Ao as an AVB splitter snake? IE if you had PA/IEM rig based around a presonus studio live rack mixer, would it be reasonable in smaller venues to run a FoH split using DB25 snakes from a 24Ao? Is the delay from AVB small enough for that to be an option?

Thanks for the instruction. I do not see as the same as you do. I have a MOTU Ultralite and Presonus 24 rack, not 24 Ai. I think with the MOTU is the same. It’s all default to Mac AVB. Can you advice. Thanks

I recently purchased a URC HDA SW5 avb switch. with MOTU utralite and monitor 8 it works great. but when I add the Studiolive 32r I can't get a perfect synchronization, sometimes it disappears, sometimes the audio is chopped up, or it is simply muted. I noticed that it is a failure in the synchronization of the clock. can you help me?
