Finally netflix telling something valuable to viewers. Job is not everything. Do not let it ruin your relationships. Job will end some day and every coworker will forget you after a week. And your corporation will still earn millions without you. You should not care.

This movie carries a very important message for any dynamic, not just relationships. Observe carefully how people react to your achievements. If something is off, cut those people off. I've had a couple of close friends I felt were never truly happy for me, and they ended up stabbing me in the back (metaphorically speaking). I've also had a boyfriend who never seemed to be proud of me, and he also ended things on a terrible note. Needless to say, these people are not in my life anymore. Of course, this film was an exaggeration, but the message still stands. Be careful of who you uplift and let into your circle - not everyone will reciprocate. Partners, friends, coworkers, relatives, doesn't matter.

Finally, a movie that truly represents the dynamics of a couple when things go wrong. No sugar coating or fantasise about love. How many men have felt threatened by a woman becoming successful and not admitting and then act like arseholes. This is a good movie for women to understand that just because a manwantst to marry her, it doesn't mean he'll be supportive along the way. This is a sad reality, but I'm really happy the movie shows the reality.

It is not a job that killing you, it is a emotional immaturity. If your partner is mad because you got promotion then something is wrong and there is no honest intentions.

She was happy for him when she thought he was getting the job, but he got jealous when she got the job. Typical lol.

Having finished binging 2 seasons of Bridgerton in just a few days, I'm super excited to see what else Phoebe Dynevor does in the future. And this looks absolutely interesting for a step up of her career. Same goes to Alden Ehrenreich who recently stole the show in Oppenheimer, both actors are exciting and extremely talented. So happy for their success thus far

Just came here after watching the movie. For those who haven’t seen it yet, i think it’s best not to watch the trailer. Its not spoiling anything or like that but i think letting the movie take you where it goes without knowing anything from the trailer is the best way to experience this.
It’s as good as they say it is. Wow! Wow, wow.

This is actually a really good trailer. I’ve heard good things about this from festivals so I hope it lives up to said hype. Definitely getting Paul Verhoeven vibes.

The concept for this is a little bewildering to me. If me and my girl worked at the same job and she got a promotion, even if it was one I wanted very badly, my love for her would overshadow any sort of jealousy I may have. If it didn’t, then I probably shouldn’t be with her. When you truly love someone you become their cheerleader. You root for them even when your life is falling apart because their happiness means more to you than anything. If you don’t feel that way with the person you are with, then maybe you should reevaluate your relationship with them. But hey, it looks ok.

A movie with many lessons.
My greatest takeaway from it, is to take note of how people close to you react to your success (both immediately and after some time), it's a very big indication of how they feel about you.

This sort of happened where I work. Two colleagues dated. Then they broke up. She got promoted to manager, and then she got promoted again to the unit manager. His life at work was miserable.

When someone says mean shit and then says "I'm joking" they are not joking. The MEAN that shit!

Loved this movie at Sundance. The leads give Oscar worthy performances. But it is definitely more of a drama than thriller.

Watched this few days ago. It was an intense emotional ride and it got me on the edge of my seat. It’s gripping and in my opinion, isn’t cliched. I’d like to think that the toxicity in the couple when one becomes more successful than the other as a representation. Such toxicity exists amongst peers and friends when someone becomes more successful than the other. I’ve experienced this first hand when close friends alienates me and passes snarky remarks when I’ve progressed further than them. I’ve never progression as a race and will always be happy whenever someone else is doing well in life.
