One key aspect that really impressed me in this movie was how Ani's relationship with her body changed. She lost a significant amount of weight, and had a breast reduction. I love how the film dropped hints about her potential ED triggered after this incident like her never eating lunch, or paying 1.5k a month to exercise, or staying away from carbs. Also her mother commenting on her "developing early", thus requiring more protection. It's a common misconception that eating disorders are only triggered by the desire to lose weight. In this case, it seems like Ani (or Tiffany, back then) believed that her curvaceous figure was partially to blame for all the attention she got from boys, and the rape itself. So by her completely reinventing her body and becoming thin, she was trying to protect herself from that happening again. Very interesting. Kudos to the directors.

About 3 weeks ago I was raped by coworker and his friend, a former cop and nurse, both people I thought I could trust and feel safe around. This film broke me down and helped me to stop minimizing the incident and to see it for what it is. This helped me gain the courage to stand up for myself and begin to process the horror, pain, shame, and trauma that has been inflicted upon me. I am very thankful that I stumbled upon this movie.

Wow, just finished watching this and wow what a powerful message. It broke my heart to see her mother and so many others fail her when she needed it the most. Stand up and make them pay for what they have done to you. I know it is a tough and scary road, just remember you are never alone.

Next level. Mila and Chiara were both so compelling. It is a real issue that the world looks upon with eyes wide shut. Luckiest Girl Alive is an eye opener, long over due. Brilliant.

I'm so glad to see Mila Kunis shining once again in a thriller, she was *BRILLIANT* in "Black Swan" 🤩

I love Chiara Aurelia being cast as a young Mila Kunis. She was phenomenal in "Cruel Summer", and I can't wait to see more of her future projects.

Just finished watching this with tears. The way they unfold this story is so symbolic and the message is so important and powerful. Mila did an incredible job. I highly recommend to watch it too. (Some scenes tho may be triggering)

Mila’s best role to date. A powerful message to society. She was excellent in this movie. Academy Award for best actress. It’s a taboo subject for most and still happens everyday in this world. This is what Hollywood is about. This is how Hollywood shines through storytelling & using their platform to discuss & highlight the dysfunction in our world. it was her most honest & open inspiring performance.

The people who make these trailers are brilliant. There needs to be an Oscar in this category!

When she said “I think I was raped” that’s it, the frustration, the anger and confusion is all there. Like how can the people you trust the most and think of as your “friends” whom you should feel safe with do something so horrendous like this. It’s the deepest wound one can ever endure.

This movie is exceptional. The way it unfolds the truth gave me chills. I hope many women will be inspired from this to open up about the trauma they had gone through and also a change in the mentality of people thinking rape as something to be moved on or ignored. Rape is not something that can be justified even if he is drunk, disabled or even dead. The world needs to know the truth.

She is throwing herself into an area people want to deny. For this alone I think she is amazing. As far as her her acting she shines and deserve all the praise she has yet to get. This is the second topic I've seen her her play people won't touch. Life is hard and she's showing it like it is. Major kudos on your work Mila. Its hard and you're doing better than most.

As someone whose a man and has been sexually assaulted this was very triggering and made me realize that’s why it’s so important for everyone to share their story. That trigger tells us to not avoid the issue but confront it head on.

Sorry but Mila starring in a movie like this while also defending Danny Masterson is so disgusting...wtf

So gross for her to act in and produce this while petitioning the judge on behalf of rapist Danny Masterson. The hypocrisy is unreal

Really well told “story” that is unfortunately a reality for millions. Millions of people carry this weight with them, along with the added pressure of judgment from everyone around you. It’s odd how isolated you can feel, despite being surrounded by people, but you aren’t alone.

Netflix never fails to amaze me with their incredibly-made trailers. They always leave you guessing without giving away too much. Honestly, they deserve so much more appreciation for their exceptional work.
