Found your channel while googleing when to harvest my cantaloupe. I too LIVE TO GROW MELONS!!! I (of course) get better each year. But this video is a game changer. It was so simple and easy and you explained it well. You look as if you have a large garden. Mine is 12, 00 sq.ft. with mucho raised beds. In the middle of Queens New York. Thank you.

That's a great looking melon. I planted a few seeds in a 10 gallon fabric from a store bought melon I had last year. They're hanging in cradles, but nowhere near the size of yours. My sugar baby watermelons were planted May 7 and the few melons aren't getting larger than softballs. This is my first time trying to grow either. 9A

Should not be an effort to take vine off, right where the vine is you should be able to push in easily with fingers..and yes they do ripen off the vines if shipped green..
