Former Australian PM Scott Morrison defends secret ministerial portfolios

Former Australian prime minister Scott Morrison has insisted that his decision to appoint himself to secret portfolios while in office was well-intentioned and that he had to "steer the ship" in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. But that has done little to allay public concerns or alleviate the ongoing political backlash.
