I’ve read Marx, and it makes me appreciative of Frederic Bastiat. You can read into that anyway you want.

not a telephone rings,
not a light bulb shines without the kind permission of the working class. Once this enormous power is mobilized, no force on earth can stop it.' Ted Grant

Like asking a modern nurse if they are "Pasteur-ist" - Pasteur wasn't wrong but the ideas have been expanded on and diversified greatly since then.

Marxism looks at who and what we are and do, not what it thinks we should be or should do. Social class is the core identity out of which all society is formed.

The degree to which Marx actually influenced Wolff is questionable. It took actually reading Marx to finally get off the Wolff train.

I mean... Why does he even bother? What is he trying to achieve? I'm not against socialism. But it already looks like a failed process.

I didn’t fully listen to this guy before.
He really did his homework and he knows what he is talking about.

Nobody can really say they are influenced *only* by Marx: not without also being influenced in part by Hegel... by extension, at least.

I usually have to explain to people that his critiques are important and I definitely take them seriously. A lot of his solutions/paths to get there? those I have some serious issues with, philosophically speaking.

I read Marx in college. Thanks to Prof. Wolff and a few others in you tube I have revisited Marx and found a lot more in his writing than I had when I first read him in College.

Ofcourse yes but neither revolution is easy nor the existence of marxist economics will be easy as it has end class relation
Class relation as we read marxism erupts with division of labour and marxism therefore proposed teaching production in its entirety

Congratulations Professor Michael Wolff for your honest and courageous position. Believe it won't be easy to live among so many neoliberal snakes.

His criticisms are more valid today than ever. People ignore that part when disparaging the ideology

Marx praised capitalism, but also recognized thats its not our final form and we need to evolve past it

In all this terrible nonsense I see on social media, it's so nice to find a rational voice with such heavy criticisms of capitalism and holding the experience you hold. Very much appreciated, I was starting to feel like I'm drowning in a sea of senseless capitalists
