Fallen Order is probably the most scariest iteration of Vader. The sheer anger is really felt through the medium of gaming. Of course the second more scariest goes to the hallway scene.

I love that they used the game mechanic of forcing the player to run to instill fear and Vader’s immense power

This really was one of the best moments in Fallen Order I played the game on Launch Day and spent the next three days playing it without watching any videos on the game then I get up to the moment where I bet Trilla and all of a sudden I hear breathing and Trilla tense’s and all I knew was I was fucked. I still love how in the database for all the enemies you have each one say what strategy to use against them then there’s Vader with what I can only describe as “Oh you can’t fight him he’ll beat the living shit out of you without even trying. All you can really do is fucking run.” God I love Fallen Order.

Thing is, it makes 100% sense. This is 5 Years after Order 66 which means:
1. There basically is no Rebellion and no effective communication behind the empires back. The first official large-scale network we know of is the Path, 10 Years after Order 66
2. Cal was in Hiding and knew basically nothing if that was going on in the Galaxy and until recently Cere was lost and depressed. And even shortly before they met Cal they would probably not seek confrontations with the empire since they wanted to be stealthy
3. Darth Vader was somebody that was quite hidden from the average citizen (especially in the early days of the empire). In Rebels, 5-4 BBY, even the Phoenix Cell has no idea that Darth Vader exists until they encounter him on Lothal

Conclusion: While Cere knows him from her brief stay at the Fortress Inquisitorius she and Cal would never have heard his Name and so the only people knowing the name are Vader himself and Trilla in that Scene, both probably have different things on their minds that proper introductions

I just love the fact that you can’t even fight Vader because Cal is still technically a Padawan and is Nowhere Near Darth Vader‘s Level Darth Vader doesn’t even have a Health bar you can’t fight him you just Have to Run.

I had to explain for hours that wasn’t how I actually talked in public.

The power of including him and the fear that surrounds him. It’s like his name is taboo like Voldemort in the Harry Potter series. You can’t say his name. Nobody knows why, he can’t sense it. You just can’t say his name.

Spending the entire game remembering old force powers, training with a lightsaber, mowing down squads of Stormtroopers and bounty hunters. Feeling like you could take on the whole galaxy. Only to be faced with Vader who shows you who little you do know of the Force.
Fantastic scene. Cannot wait for Jedi: Survivor.
