CJH’s Young Lions Jazz Master Sessions is a unique, inspirational, instructional experience for students, connecting them with university jazz educators and professionals at a main event in December and in-schools during the year.
CJH is pleased to announce a virtual adaptation of this program engaging our family of musicians and educators to offer live instrument lessons for beginners or those interested in getting reacquainted with their instrument as well as master class sessions designed for more intermediate/advanced players and professionals.
Past and Upcoming Sessions include Rhythm Section Focus, Introduction to Jazz Guitar, Trombone and Trumpet Fundamentals, An Approach to Playing Lead Alto Saxophone, Tenor Sax Basics, Setting and Achieving a Goal, A Basic Approach to Jazz Improvisation, Practicing “Safer at Home” Advanced Improvisation with Simple Tech, Bass Styles: An Approach to Playing Swing, Funk, & More, Developing Your Own Sound, The Quarter Note System: A Rhythmic Guide to Creativity, and more!
