"incredibly stressfull time for farmers..." he didn't mention how stressful this is for wild and domestic birds or the ecosystem. But I doubt that factory farming will change; if anything, the shortage will only put more pressure to mass produce of all types.

H5N1 is a huge issue for intensive operations because it will force them to change their method of production to less intensive & less profitable methods. For an industry which needs these intensive factory farming methods to make paper thin profits driven by unrealistically low consumer pricing they are in a panic.

How are migratory birds getting inside of chicken facilities when chickens are usually raised totally inside? I'm confused.
