I will be explaining and demonstrating how to apply oil base polyurethane on hardwood floors. The wood that I'm apply it to is Brazilian cherry which is a fun wood to do this on.

Remember to get a poly that’s meant to be walked on also the regular minwax or whatever brand isn’t durable enough for walking get one made fire being walked on it will last longer tack cloth the floor after stain as stain brings up impurities in the wood like dirt and dust last coat I mix with mineral spirits no more than 50/50 to dry faster sand after every coat with 220 poly is like glue and needs something to hold onto for the next layer

Don't do it I did this 1/4" nap roller rolled slow not to get bubbles had millions bubbles when wet hoped when poly flashed they would go away but they didn't .. disaster

Hi if it's a new floor do you have to apply any sealers first

How many coats did u put on? did you need to lightly sand it between coats?

Can I ask you what kind of wood floor are you putting that oil based polyurethane is it White Oak and does it look that dark after just one coat the oil based polyurethane I'm using it is clear gloss color

Is it can use only wood? Can we use it for terazzo, concrete, titanium marble

Hello, I would like you to help me, if I buffer my floors with 150 grit sandpaper and then wash them with a machine, and put 1-2 coats of base oil (RUST-OLEUM Varathane Gloss Oil Base) or some similar product, do you think what would be good? My floors are a bit ugly... but not bad enough to sand them all over
