Does it say in the manual to use this grease? I'm asking because a hammer gearbox only works well with light grease like an NGLI 0 viscosity grease.
This grease here looks like NGLI 2.
Some Boschhammers even use straight oil in the gearbox.

I've seen hammers having to be send in for repair because they were regreased with whatever people had laying around leading to the hammer tube, piston, hammer bolt and striker running dry in the tube that causes loss of compression and ruins the O ring seals.
Heavy grease gets flung off the moving parts and gets stuck to the walls of the housing. A light low viscosity grease will flow around the gearbox keeping everything coated.
I have a good exhibit of that in my basement a cheap old hammerdrill my dad bought ages ago that had lost its hammer opened up the port noticed heavy grease inside and yup hammer tube was bone dry because heavy grease doesn't flow.

I am beginner. Do I aplay grease when I use hammer mode, or do I need grease for just drilling? Also when I know I need put new grease in drill?
