Depending on the size of the Tamales you make, this recipe yields about 100, give or take.

Instead of Tontitos (Sweet Tamales) you can make ones filled with Potatoes, Cheese, and Roasted Pasilla Chiles 🌶 . The Tamale filling possibilities are really LIMITLESS…just like my appetite…”the limit does not exisit” – Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls 🤣

An update, this recipe I use now for my temales my family loves! It's now our family dish I've made it for potlucks, thanksgiving and Christmas is coming up which will be my largest batch yet. I am so grateful for this upload, it is a huge job for sure! A lot of people don't realize how much time it can take. My largest batch of 100 temales me alone making them including prep time and cooking it took me 9 hours for everything to be completely done.

I made these twice already and mine came out perfect. Although I used black olives, and I didn't add the potatoes. Mine came out tasting exactly how my nana used to make them. Thank you so much . When my husband said my tamales were bomb, it was all worth it!!

These look fantastic and we are making them for Christmas here in Phoenix! I think your nails are lovely, classy, and if you all paid attention, they are obviously restaurant owners! If you don't like what you see or hear, their is always another video, please stop with the negativity! The recipe is what's important here! Merry Christmas everyone! I made these last year for Christmas everyone loved them so we are doing them again. I put the beef in crock pot overnight so it didn't take all day. It turned amazing and everyone is helping which is the best part. Thanks so much!

I have a step daughter who is of Native American and Mexican American decent, I am Native but I Absolutely have Mad Love and Respect for my hard working, delicious food cookin, Beautiful Brown Hispanic Cuzens. Always have, and always will. Trying to get some of both our Culture to my New Daughter and a very important part of both Cultures is FAMILY and FOOD. I am on a mission in my life now, new chapter, setting the Example for her and filling a very Large pair of shoes. It is my Honor to do so and I hope I do my Hispanic Cuzens justice. I will try to teach her this after I feel like it is nothing less than my very best, and I thank you so much for sharing apart of you'r family with mine. #RESPECT

So I am vegetarian so I did not taste these but my 5 kids and my neighbors Loved them! So they appear to have been a great hit! It was my first time ever making Tamales and i made 154 in 3 different flavors. I will say though this recipe for me only made 54 Tamales. Not sure what I did wrong but They were great and I was able to fill my Freezer so Thank you for sharing this great Recipe!

Ok so I had to rewind and start over watching this vid two times because I was distracted (pleasantly) but I finally made it through the intro and as soon as I can get a truck load of garlic I want to try this

I also made ur poblano chile & cheese tamales . I used poblano chiles and Anaheim chiles, and Monterey jack cheese. Again perfect. Thank you for ur videos. Couldnt have done it without you.

Awesome, by the way shes adding to her Mexican Tamales a little Spanish flair to it by adding potatoes and olive! Spanish Tamales have meat potatoes olives all separated wrapped in a square with banana leaves and tied, there a lot bigger than your Mexican Tamales, and Tasty as well. Im finally for the 1st time going try to make some Mexican Tamales, Thank U so much!

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this recipe & video!!!! This is EXACTLY how I prefer my tamales!!! I’m not Hispanic but my disabled adult son LOVES to cook & make homemade tamales. He made them several months ago with a caregiver. They were delicious! But.... I want to make some with him as a family. This method is the kind of tamales I’m used too!! I used to live in Yuma, AZ - and had lots of tamales there. I’m looking forward to this adventure being added as a tradition for our family.

I think it is just awesome how there are so many different styles and cultures to making tamales. It’s like all the different ways to make pizza, spaghetti or fried chicken. Every style is authentic for the region they are from in another country or region in the United States.

I’m excited to find a recipe with the potato & olives!!! Let alone the flavorful saucy meat too!

AND.... You have done a fantastic job with your videos, editing, style etc... I’m a Quilting, Sewing, DIY video gal and I totally appreciate how you film and edit. Great job! It takes another set of talents to put yourself out there, film clearly, edit the bulk down, text overlays and more! But you do it! You not only have a great family recipe but can share it in a way that we can find it and consume it. Thanks for enriching our family life.

Very good I notice through the years that there is no Such thing of best tamales.. Because when you grow up with the tradition you learn to love your grandma, mother or families Recipe there all different and you get used to it. I used to make and sale and most people loved them. It’s a lot a work I love this girls recipe she makes it look so easy. Also there are different Kinds of recipes. Like the corn 🌽 and the ones that are rapt in Banana leaves. Thanks and good job girl.

I am on the hour left to cook on peppers and meat and corn husk soaking, right now as I am typing this and so far my house smells amazing! it brought hubby and big kids to the kitchen..lol Thank you for a recipe that even I can understand and follow! Will let you know how it turns out afterwards
