His-and-her wineries in Chianti Classico—whose is best? Italian Wine Tour + Tuscany Wine Tasting

We’re the Lockwoods and we’re coming up on 2 years of exploring the world as a family in search of authentic experiences, deeper connections, and incredible food. This week, we booked a massive house in downtown Florence, Italy, dragged our best friend Amanda along for the ride, and set out on a Chianti Classico wine tasting tour that contrasted the wineries and the passions of husband and wife winemakers.

After spending the day with winery director Bernardo from the Colle Bereto winery in Chianti Classico for a Tuscany wine tasting trip a few months ago, we decided to visit his wife's operation at Fattoria di Montemaggio for another Chianti wine tour and wine tasting—and see if we could choose a favorite between the two!
