Bro, i think that the best way to learn/play this song. I tried other alternatives and they not even got close to sound good or fun to learn like this one. I didn't learn the hole thing, but it looks 100x times more possible now.

Hey folks! Important FYI if you're learning this on guitar - the chords at the end of the verses are ALWAYS G major to A minor. There is no A major at any point in the song.

I also checked out some RHCP live videos to look closer. Although his hand shape does appear misleading, they never play A major! There's also a video featuring Klinghoffer, and his vocal harmony notes imply A minor as well. Not major!

Hoping this helps! Trust your ears, folks!

(If you'd like to really test it - when it comes to the chord change in question, play the note C# anywhere on your guitar. That's the "major" note in an A major chord [the major 3rd of the chord]. And it sounds straight-up wrong!)

Also, I don't mean to discredit the hard work of the instructor - other than this one tiny mistake, he did a fantastic job with the rest!
