There are so many stunning places to visit here on the Isle of Skye but here’s just one of the places we would recommend visiting...

📸📍Fairy Glen, Isle of Skye, Scotland

ℹ️ It’s a unique landscape of grass covered hills surrounding a towering rock formation called Castle Ewen and is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

And here is how you can find it…
📍Located just outside of Uig village in northern Isle of Skye

🛣️ It’s about a 30 minute drive north of Portree and is accessible by car or guided tour bus - there’s no public bus that runs up here

🅿️ There’s a pay and display car park which costs £2 for 2 hours or £3 for 3 hours, and can be paid in coins or card

🚫 no overnight camping is permitted in the car park but there is a campsite in the nearby village of Uig or @park4night spots around too

🚶‍♀️The main area is only approx. 10 minute walk from the car park and are easily accessible by foot along a gravel footpath

🥾 You can walk up to the top of the castle like ruin / rock formation of castle Ewen - but it is narrow at points with the steep edges so you need to be careful

⏳ We would allow around 1 hour to explore, take photos and walk back to the car park

✨ It’s a great place to tag onto a day of exploring on the Isle of Skye, especially after visiting the nearby Quiraing!
