How to Make Shake 'n Bake Chicken Breast in an Air Fryer

This was quite lovely and really easy to make. Chicken came out so tender and juicy and with a light crisp coating of the Shake 'n Bake that was very flavorful.

Two ingredients are all you need for this “cheater” air fried chicken breast recipe if you wish. You can use store-bought Shake ‘n Bake breading for your chicken .

Line the bottom of the air fryer basket with foil (for easy clean up) and spray with baking spray. Toss chicken breasts in the Shake 'n Bake Breading or liberally season both sides of the chicken breasts with desired seasonings. Turn air fryer to 400-degrees and add two chicken breasts. Air fry for 15-minutes, stopping to turn the chicken halfway through cooking. Chicken is done when the internal temperature of the thickest part of the breast reaches 165-degrees. Air fry time may be more or less depending on the thickness of the chicken used.

By adding parchment paper at the bottom and laying the chicken directly on it, without a rack to lift the chicken up off of the paper, aren't you defeating the air circulation feature of the air fryer?

Thanks for sharing this, I am making this for dinner tonight. My only question is did you preheat the air fryer or just go from cold to 400 with the chicken in it?
