Karate Kickboxer Shoei decides to try to spar outside his comfort zone and take on two rugby players that are way bigger than him. In fact, the second guy Nokkon Terada is 220 lbs heavier than Shoei. Let's look at the hilarious freakshow sparring matches we have here, and make sure to go follow Shoei and hope he's all recovered from being thrown like a football.

Thank you for the commentary! At that moment, I caught a glimpse of heaven! Right now, I’m working hard to become a professional mixed martial artist. I’d be thrilled if everyone could support me!

Arigato!!

The big guy is the boss you encounter in a beat-em up game when you get to the underground fighting pit area and the crowd is whistling and hollering lmao

This big guy is from a Japanese fighting organisation called breaking down and he fights there on a regular basis. It’s pretty cool

That big dude has some training. He’s checking kicks, clinching and throwing knees pretty well.

For anyone who sees this, make sure to follow Shoei. His channel is linked in the endcards and the description. I will make sure to pin a comment by Shoei if he comments. The big boy's channel is linked in the description and endcards too!

Anyone who says _size differences don't matter in fighting_ needs to watch this video

Comparing this to 'Saenchai vs Giant', Karateka still has some lessons to learn.

Kudos to Shoei.
Most people wouldn't stay on the grass patch with that second guy. Great reality check.

I have been practicing karate for over 20 years and have heard time and again from other karateka “that strength and size don't matter if your technique is better”. That this is nonsense is clear, and this video is the best possible proof of that.

Well, it makes sense. Really, at least in the States, its not uncommon for football players to also do wrestling. At least for defensive tacklers, it's definitely helpful to know how to grab and tackle someone and wrestling is a good aid. So i wouldn't be surprised by rugby players doing the samd thing

Sport Karate is rarely going to be very effective against someone 4 times your size, especially if they can brawl like this guy.

However, Karate guy did better than I expected.
If he used some serious Karate techniques instead of point kicking, he could do well.

Dang, that was sure a one sided fight. That BiG guy was not cutting the little guy any slack. That throw the BiG guy did really could have injured or permanently injured the little guy. The UFC needs to bring these one sided matches in to warm up the crowd and offer some comic relief before they start the real fights …

In fairness, the big guys stance gives away that he can fight, his size is already non negotiable.
