Here's the thing grievous is known for reflecting swaths of blaster bolts, HE'S NOT FORCE SENSITIVE, he's so fast he can accurately deflect bolts with *4* fucking lightsabers.

Grevious has more dodging ability than Vader does, so he'd be able to dodge the spells easily and they are both incredibly aggressive fighters, so evil Squidward would be constantly on the back foot for all the 2 seconds he is still in 1 unsciled piece
Edit: Grevious has more physical dodging ability than Vader, in the 2d clones wars it's shown he can put dodge and is faster than force users even with precognition, does that mean I think Grevious would win in a fight between him and Vader, no Vader would win 9 out of 10 times, but Grevious has a slight speed edge

That’s a good point.

When it comes to power scaling, we have to make some assumptions for magic.

Take a magic user from one universe against a magic user from another. And things they do might work differently. They should, because they both have powers that effect things in a magical way.

Vader can swat away blaster bolts, and a lot of offensive spells are, well, a bolt of magic which strikes the opponent, inducing the effect of the spell.

This includes AVADA Kadavera, which sometimes displays as a beam rather than a bolt but the principle still stands.

Vader could probably deflect the vast majority of spells.

And it would be about clever implementation of those spells that would allow Voldemort to defeat him. Conveniently, for Vader, Voldemort has never displayed clever usage of spells. He instead prefers to simply use brute force, just spamming curses with no real strategy in any of his fights. He wins simply because as a spell caster he is REALLY powerful.

Darth Vader is a Powerhouse in his own right, but unlike Voldemort, he’s been known to be strategically focused. He protested the MASSIVELY impractical and stupid idea that was The Death Star, a powerful weapon that was large and slow, and exceedingly easy to target, and lent his support to projects like the TIE Defender, which was a cost effective massive improvement to the TIE’s, which Rebel sources have indicated, if the Emperor actually listened to Vader, would likely have spelt the end of the Rebellion.

Since Voldemort isn’t a master tactician, unlike Vader, who was an active General in a massive intergalactic war, and later a Dark Lord who led multiple different forces effectively, I see this as a win for Vader.

On top of all that, I also think disarming spells wouldn’t be very effective against a Lightsaber, what with the massive energy they have, and how they work in general. Not to mention, Voldemort’s magical defences are the ability to deflect incoming magic spells, this is standard among wizards.

The problem with that is that spells are projectile in nature, even if none is shown, there is an inherent travel time involved, allowing quick casters to throw up a defensive Ward.

This would probably be super effective against Force Lightning. But be completely useless against Vaders signature move, Force Choke, which is instant, and can be done from light years away, negating any and all defences.

Spells have phisical properties, like if they were fire or thunders, which means that vader could grab almost every spell using the force and redirect it
