Seismic Survey Design: Data Analysis of the Field Operational Data

Analysis of the field operational data is another critical component of a seismic survey design.
We investigate regulatory restrictions, equipment availability, satellite imagery, topography, infrastructure, and location. Operational issues can have a significant impact on the project to the point where a seismic program could be economically unfeasible.
If the seismic program is located in an urban area, access and permitting may be difficult. If the seismic program is in a mountainous area, equipment movement will be challenging.
If the seismic program is located in a country with limited equipment available, this could lead to problems acquiring the data we require to meet our imaging objectives.

Operational considerations often have a significant impact on the final survey parameters used.
