Voter Asks Lindsey Graham If He'd Ban Islam

Recently at a campaign stop Senator Lindsey Graham was asked if he would ban Islam in the United States, his response may surprise you. Cenk Uygur host of The Young Turks breaks down his response. “…The Des Moines Register reported that when a potential voter suggested outlawing Islam, Graham shut him down hard, saying, 'You know what, I’m not your candidate.'

'I don’t want you to vote for me,' Graham said, cutting him off. 'I couldn’t disagree with you more.'

Graham went on to say that he was not looking to please those looking to create a prohibition, instead suggesting that strengthening the military and deploying more troops to Iraq would be a stronger approach...

'He’s got a right to say whatever he wants to say,' Graham said, 'but I have an obligation to the Republican Party, to the people of Iowa and the country as a whole to be firm on this. I’m not buying into that construct. That’s not the America that I want to lead.’"

Its usually a sign that Atheists are winning. Here in Norway, Christianity and Islam are best buds..., but in both cases most of their followers are just followers of tradition, not religion.

I'm a Western convert to Islam myself and I can tell you Islam is all about peace.
Thank God for this beautiful religion.

Also, there are more and more converts each day and year so Islam will slowly keep spreading accross Europe and the US Inshallah.
There is a lot of anti Islam propaganda going on, but nothing can stop the truth!

What pisses me off if that he mentions his responsibilities to his "Party" before the people he is supposed to be representing. His first loyalty should go the the people he represents, THEN the country, THEN the party. Words matter, and the way you structure your responses say volumes to your character.

It doesn't matter if he wants to ban it or not.  Freedom of religion prevents any kind of "ban" on religion. If it didn't I'm pretty sure there would have been at least one call to ban christian religions at some point in the recent history.
