She is wonderful and i feel in the stage of being in awe of older material, the scooping on notes gets on my xxxx but in time she will see ' what they wrote' on the note hits the heart. A modern Streisand in the making if only the 'false' suffering could be removed. Streisand just delivered and let us do the work.

I am in my 60's. I grew up listening to gifted singers such as Karen Carpenter, Barbra Streisand, and Julie Andrews. I had lost hope that this new generation of singer/performers could approximate the artistry of the aforementioned. But along comes Cynthia Erivo. Cynthia's effortless technical perfection and her emotional and intellectual understanding of lyrics is on par with the greats. She deserves the enthusiastic acclaim she is receiving. May she continue to grow and excel as an exceptional artist!
