Avengers Endgame Theory: Doctor Strange's Plan Explained

He's not yet the sorcerer supreme that we all know and love, but Doctor Strange might have an other trick under his sleeve in that latest Avengers: Endgame.

Doctor Strange is a VERY calculated individual. You’ve seen him in his own self-titled movie, he played a massive role in Avengers: Infinity Wars, and he’s popped up on occasion in other Marvel films. There’s always an intention behind everything he does or says, it’s almost as if nothing about this character is random. As someone who controls time and has the ability to travel through it freely, he knows the importance of actions, reactions, and repercussions.

So then why did he give up the Time Stone to Thanos at the end of Infinity Wars, all but submitting to defeat and giving the most powerful being in the universe a fun new toy to become even more dangerous? Giving Thanos the Infinity Gauntlet may seem like a crazy decision at the moment, but if there’s one thing we should know about Doctor Strange, it’s that he doesn’t do things without considering the consequences.

There’s a reason he wanted Thanos to get the Infinity Gauntlet. There’s a reason he needed to spare Ironman. There’s a reason for everything Doctor Strange does, it just might take a much closer look to understand what those reasons are. Lucky for you, that’s what we’re here for. This is Doctor Strange’s plan to come out victorious in the End Game.

It would be amazing if, when Strange nabs Loki in Ragnarok, it was in order to talk to him and make a plan to fight Thanos, while a copy of himself was chatting with Thor.

"we're in the end game now" is strange telling tony where to go. the portal above the avengers tower was called the end game. theyll go back in time to the battle of new york and confront thanos by going thru the portal.

I think Dr Strange should be the face of the MCU after Avengers Endgame.

You missed three things that I think are of very high importance that I see NO ONE talking about.

1: the question of how dr strange could see past his death but ancient one could not. Simple. The ancient one didn’t have the time stone. (Why she didn’t use it to answer her question is beyond me lol)
2: during the fight with the maw, strange tells him that there is a spell on it, and that breaking a dead mans spell would be quite difficult. This implies that the spell would still be active after the snap. This could be why it was glowing when thanos got it.
3: I think this is the most important one that I haven’t seen any news outlet or channel talk about. When thanos uses the time stone, the magic loops appear around his gauntlet. This doesn’t make any sense unless there was a spell on it. That is the only stone with that kind of visual representation. It’s a clever disguise as people may think it’s because it’s first appearance was in doctor strange. However the stones were created at the beginning of the universe. This is obviously way before sorcerers were around. The only time we see those kind of visual markings are when magic is in play, otherwise I think all the stones would show it. It think it is the most subtle important clue.
What do you guys think? I don’t think it’s a crazy theory at all. I’m very picky when it comes to theories.

6:10 If you can't make God bleed, then people will cease to beleive in him.

What he really says: "If you could make God bleed, then people would cease to believe in him"

If doctor strange tells Tony what to do, they would loose. Maybe that was one of the 14, 000, 605 outcomes

Maybe he saw 14 million different snaps, and he needed specific people to be alive.

It's 14000605 times. You keep on saying 14000506.

If I remember correctly, the director said himself that the infinity gauntlet was damaged beyond repair. I don't think Dr. Strange wanted them to use it, I think he knew it had to be destroyed in order to have a fighting chance.

He repeatedly said the number wrong so that you would comment on the video.

It’s a simple spell but quite unbreakable.

And out of curiosity is anybody know how the snap choose who to dust ? It's pretty clear thanos didn't do it... And according to the comics the stones are inherently good due to the fact Adam ArcLight gave keystone it's on sentient life... So if the stones are choosing why were they chosen and what were they trying to show us or teaches us?

a superpower that is commonly overlooked is super-intelligence, just like all other powers, there are many forms of it, and Doctor Strange definitly has it.
Just like any other superpower, the more you learn about your power and learn to control it, the more powerful it is. Super-Inteligence is no acception

I think you 100% nailed it right on the head. You're like a second doctor strange you think just like him. And what's better than only one opinion? A second one. My hat goes off to you, sir. Endgame is on.
