When trauma came into my life at a young age a message came with it. Things were done so that I could comfort and empathize with future people who were stuck in the victim rut. Bad things happen but we are allowed to grieve and then move on.

A common thought about kharma is that if something awful happens it's a punishment for you doing that bad thing in the past . . .it may be, but not as a punishment, but so you know how it feels .a lesson .
I also realized that lessons are best learned from the victim position ...the persecutors have no need to develop. The rescuers get to feel good, but the victims need to fight, figure out things, learn to prevent abuse or walk away, soon enough., learn to build up endurance, invent new things, keep fighting ....a person may choose to be a victim because it has the most development possible that isn't easy to ignore. .

The free will of people and sometimes the horrible decisions they make based on their inflated ego has caused so many wars and the recent atrocious genocide of Palestinians.
God is testing us in this life through our actions and a lot of karmic consequences will be experienced in the next life and NOT here.

I find it hard it hard to believe that me being molested at 8 months of age was my karma and being brutally gang raped at 15 by 5 men - so badly that I became sterile- was my karma.

Victim blaming. Yes, that young girl that was raped. She was just fulfilling her karma. She brought it on by her magnetism. That is an awful teaching.
