Activated charcoal is a black powder/suspension that is commonly used for poison treatment for certain substances that include Tylenol (acetaminophen) , aspirin, phenytoin, and barbiturates. Its mechanism of action is to bind to the toxins in the gut before they are absorbed in the bloodstream. It works as an adsorbent in the gut (not to be confused with absorption). A lot of people are talking about the general health benefits of taking activated charcoal and the "cleanse" it gives your body. In this video I talk about my opinions on that subject matter and discuss the viability of that recommendation.

Don't make a video if you don't know what you are talking about i've taking 1 teaspoon with 16 oz of water every night before bed and 1 teaspoon in the afternoon between my 2 meals and that for 8 months I had problems with my kidneys and liver it completely got rid of inflammation lower my cholesterol my kidneys were not filtering well to much phosphorus in the blood after 8 months my blood test is clean and after a kidney and liver scan ~it showed the were working normal for a 60 year old that was not the case last year i'm full of energy now no more inflammation i feel so good i did not do anything different for those 8 months just that activated charcoal twice a day for 8 months and it changed my life now I stopped taking it i feel my body is cleansed and now it encouraged me to eat better and walk every day for exercise because I have more energy so has a pharmacist you should not give any advice on the working of the kidneys or liver problems my Doctor save my like after suffering for over 10 years even now my hormones are back Normal so (Thank God you hardly have subscribers) you should stick to your profession with advising about pills interactions and don't give advice on the inner working of kidney liver hormones etc...
