Activated charcoal has increased in popularity, but what is activated charcoal used for? Watch this video to find out.

0:00 Introduction: What is activated charcoal?
0:20 Activated charcoal and toxins
0:53 Activated charcoal uses
1:16 Thanks for watching

In this video, we’re going to talk about activated charcoal. Activated charcoal is different from the charcoal you use for your barbecue.

Activated charcoal powder is often sold in a capsule. It has the unique ability to bind with toxins and poisons to help remove them from the body.

If someone accidentally swallows a poison, activated charcoal can help remove it from the body! The sooner someone is given activated charcoal, the better it works.

Activated charcoal can be used for the following:
•Drug overdose
•Detox
•Mold
•Indigestion
•Flatulence
•Hangover

Activated charcoal is very similar to bentonite clay, but can bind to poisons more powerfully.

I was having horrible indigestion, kept me up almost all day and night. So I went and bought some activated charcoal. Took 2. Next day 2 . Then 2 and I'm so much better. I thought I was dying. So glad I remembered the charcoal. It's wonderful to look on YouTube and find the best information ever. ❤❤

I came here to find out how to use it. I didn't find it in the video. I appreciate the comments of people and their testimonies.

I am not a doctor but wanted to share my experience.
I suffer from high intolerance to lactose as well as gastritis, doctors couldn't figure out what the issue was for 2 months and then they finally suggested activated charcoal and voila, in 3 days or so I was all good.
SO if you have some indigestion or gas issues, try activated charcoal, I would definitely recommend.

It helps with upset stomach when I’m feeling nauseous or having bad diarrhea. Works like a charm.

Some people in Korea use charcoal for anticancer purpose. I wondered if it really works for it, but they say it does.
However I consumed charcoal when I got food poisoning and it really worked.
Just into half an hour of taking a tablespoon of charcoal, stomach pain and diarrhea were gone every time.

Hi Dr Berg! Hoping this doesn’t get lost in the comment woods... but I take ACTIVATED CHARCOAL on a regular basis. I know you have a couple of broad videos on the subject, like this one, but I was hoping you’d really be able to do a deep dive into all the studies and give us some great data. Like how/if it affects nutrients or what it can do for the body if taken regularly, or when NOT to take it. Thanks so much and I look forward to it!

Two things you missed, 1 - what activated charcoal is and 2 - how to use it . I think they would be good explanations to include in a video that is titled "What Is Activated Charcoal and How To Use It" .

The concept that i have learned lately is about fasting, ketosis and then detoxing with activated charcoal. When you fast, your body starts to burn stored fat, old fat, this is when the toxins come out of the fat that is burned. This is the best time to take activated charcoal. As then it attaches to the toxins from the stored and old fat allowing your body to the flush it out. If you fast as long as 72 hours, then you have a total replacing of many cells and a complete replenishing of old ones. I also believe that in the longer fasts, these things also reach our brain cells, where trapped toxins can reside thus also a great time to take charcoal to then flush these out of the body. I like the combination of these two protocols. Fasting with activated charcoal. Great stuff.

You seem to cover every subject. All I have to do is look up the topic, like I did with this one and find it! Superb! Thanks a bunch!

I had a mild accidental acetaminophen overdose today but took activated charcoal pills within an hour and I'm perfectly fine. Never went to the hospital.🤷🏻‍♀️ No lasting issues at all. I feel okay.

Thank you, Dr. Berg! Activated Charcoal is so important to keep in our daily and emergency "tool kit" - and people should consult with their vets - but it is ofte excellent for dogs when they have eaten something they should not - until you get them to the vet! As usual - you give us a short, easy to understand, but important but informational video!!

Mix it with coconut oil and massage it on your scalp to reverse hair loss. It cleanses the pores and helps with too much acidity stored on the top of your head. It allows for better blood flow and circulation.
If you have hair loss on keto, check your blood ph, it might be too acidic.
Also eliminate dairy from your diet to see faster results 👍🏻

I started taking this a few days ago. I’ve been dealing with the aftermath of Lyme disease for nearing two years.
I take 6 drops of Oil of Oregano with Thymol in 12 oz of water and then follow up about 20 minutes after with two activated charcoal caps. I have been feeling a little better each day.

The Oil of Oregano is potent stuff. The first two days I started taking it I felt like I was coming down with a cold. Real bad sweats, chills, typical cold/flu symptoms. They stopped on day three.
