Indeed is a scam. I've filled out 50 applications and had zero call backs

When a company asks you to pay for your own background check, have a clue that it isn't legit...and if it's a real company asking, go somewhere else, cause they already can't afford you.

THIS IS TRULY SAD, I HOPE GOD TRIPLE BLESS HER BACK!

A legit employer does not require potential "employees" to pay for their own background checks. You may have to in cases where you will be working as a 1099 contractor. However, the method of payment for a legit company will not be via CashApp, Venmo, etc.

Indeed doesn't care because the scammers are paying indeed to post jobs. That's why indeed's customer service is non existent.

I’ve had to report several jobs on Indeed. I think that Indeed needs to screen these employee who advertise on their engine. Also research the company-if it sounds too good to be true then it is… I’m sick of these scammers…

Indeed is the new Craigslist for job hunting.

Just applied to a handful of nursing jobs...4 out of 5 seems to be scammers asking for social security numbers after offering a job instantly on the phone. Why isn't indeed doing more to protect their users? Indeed should be held responsible. Seems like anyone can be an employer on indeed...smh

I hope they find the people that did this and they're held accountable.

I almost got scammed few days ago I got hired as a mystery shopper and they sent a check to my door saying I needed to deposit it and send them money back the company is a real company but that wasn't a real rep..they sent me a text message saying the check was delivered but I had called the bank and verified that the cashiers check was not real..I'm glad I didn't fall

They need to shut Indeed down or make sure that these jobs are legit.

More importantly she applied for over 75 job apps in a large U.S. city like Texas where the jobs are
'plentiful' buy yet she can't find a job. Supposedly, the economy added 500k jobs last month. I can't tell. The economy had been in free fall since the start of the pandemic.

I no longer use any of those sites, I was overwhelmed with spam emails as soon as I signed up.

Ok, so it's not just me applying to tons and tons of jobs with no answer. It's so irritating.

I had to close my Indeed account because I kept getting fake job offers via text message. I contacted Indeed via Twitter and they were no help, whatsoever. Indeed has a free tier as well as a paid tier for employers. Job scammers can pose as employers to create free accounts, post fake job ads and also *get full access to the resumes and contact info of job seekers* signed up with Indeed. I told them they were useless, now. Such a shame.

I've experienced this, got hired on a job from Indeed to be an 'Inspector' on deliveries, etc. I had Soo much stuff sent to my home not knowing it was stolen. Thankfully, the authorities got involved and I got my name cleared. Be careful out there with remote *work from home jobs!
