Primarily a waterfront area centred on the banks of the Yarra River, it is bounded by Wurundjeri Way and the Charles Grimes Bridge to the east, CityLink to the west and Lorimer Street across the Yarra to the south. Docklands is a modern harbour development dominated by high-rises and the colourful Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, and popular for its shopping and waterside dining. The area's pedestrian plazas are adorned with public murals, sculpture and light displays. Families head to concerts and sports at Marvel Stadium.

I came from a video on Chinese Social Media where Chinese people were insulting Melbourne claiming it was a shthole comparing to Chinese cities. I wanted to see for myself whether or not that was true. Melbourne is beautiful.

As a Melbournian, I think Docklands is a soulless part of town, it's all apartments and corporate buildings, there's no appeal for the average person. No matter how it's tarted up, it's still a bland and unattractive part of town. It desperately needs some mojo or pizzaz eg theatres, museums, buskers, street art, colour...I'm sorry for being so critical
