This is the first in a series about cryptography; an extremely important aspect of computer science and cyber security. It introduces symmetric key cryptography with a well known substitution cipher, namely the Caesar Cipher. It includes a few examples you can try for yourself using different encryption keys.

Thanks for the great video! You explain really well.
At 5:32 - the answer to the first exercise seems to have one incorrect letter. "MOVE TO HIGH GROUND". Should the first and last letters of HIGH be the same in ciphertext also?

Could you please do it where there are one set numbers on the inner section as part of a cipher wheel, encrypting and deciphering numerical cipher text?

- I’ve been quite fascinated by it since seeing it in the Enola Holmes film.. I want to figure out some of the codes myself. 🕷:’)
