Ma'am I had one doubt, in the previous chapter we had learnt that when two forces act on an object in different direction but are exerting the same force, the object does not move. So here, does it mean that the amount of force we are exerting on the object will be equal to the force of friction that is exerting on the same object in the different direction? That is why the object stops moving? Sorry for the long question.

Teracher with respect I agree with you but if roughness is friction than how come two smooth surfaces are having so much friction example- glass sheet is there in a very smooth rubber disc but glass is pretty smooth and rubber is also very smooth
