Rochelle is so encouraging, I love how when Rachael was getting upset about the measurement’s being “off”, she basically talked her into feeling like it was an intentional aesthetic choice. It looks beautiful! And your cats are precious. ❤️

To make the ‘mess up’ look more intentional you can make the space larger and add a step there so it’s easier to get in and out of the bed. Also could be a good place to sit whilst dressing or putting on shoes!

I’m really enjoying the series where you’re fixing up your apartment. I wanted to mention that you need to tell everyone how much we are enjoying watching you work outside in that new courtyard. It’s so smart to do cutting outside. There is cleanup, but at least there’s not dust all over everything in the studio.

The cats “helping” is so relatable. One of our kitties will chew anything plastic…how many times have I found an edge of a bag chewed!? At least a million😜. Excited to see the final result!

I am so absolutely happy that Rachel got herself a new rental unit - this means we'll get a whoooole series of make overs from her on the Yay!!! 🎉

love to watch Sorry Girl vids. Refreshing to see smart, capable and creative women demonstrate what they can do and to work together to do it.

Obsessed with this bed! I love Rachel's style and can't wait to see the rest of her bedroom makeover! Definitely adding this project to my DIY list!

Looks really useful! I imagine it's sturdy enough on the top to feel like a bench? I also like that if you're hanging out in bed you can just place your water/journal/laptop right next to you on the ledge. The color ended up amazing and I didn't even notice the gap at the end. I think for books/photoboxes this is particularly useful and stunning but I would personally avoid putting lamps, trinkets, and other knockable things which might fall when the bed experiences the ~rumbles~ lol 🤪

Love all the "cat cameo's" they were 100% making sure you got their new platform bed right!

The only negative during this video is that I didn't have any snacks. I will definitely be more prepared in the next video! Well done! Also, your cats are gorgeous!

Thank you for all the sweet fluffy-cat-scenes, very much appreciate the effort 😊 And yes, the bed with the shelves is also very cool🎉

earlier this year i bought a platform storage bed with shelves underneath as a person who LOVES Stuff but has a small space and i just have to say.... this one is inspired and beautiful and makes me wish i'd thought to try to diy one myself. also ALWAYS love a little cameo from the ever reliable roch. and your kitty content is wonderful and makes me smile every single time they're on screen.... love them and love this!!

It might not be in the original design, but I would round the outside corners a little, because I for sure know I would hit my leg on those every time I needed to walk around the bed lol.

Great job, Rachel. Shout out to Rochelle for her supporting role in the "Great Bed Makeover". But my favorite part of this video was the beanie toes. 😻🐾🌺😀

I love when DIY creators leave in their mistakes! It's useful to see where a project might go wrong before trying it for yourself and to think about those kinds of problems and how to avoid them in your own attempt.

I'll definitely be trying this for my own bed frame because I have the same ikea bed!

love love love!! really excited for rachael to have her own big scale makeover series!! since all the girls work collaboratively to create spaces together for others - it was so cool seeing kelsey and becky’s personal taste in their own homes now we get to see rachael take on the same challenge!!

10 out of 10 for inspiration, though I'd execute it a little differently. I really like the look but think being all around three sides impairs the function of the bed a bit (harder to get in and out, harder to make the bed). The great thing is that the way you showed step by step instructions would make it easy to modify. I can imagine the shelf unit in a wide open loft, just on the most exposed corner of the bed rather than all around, and letting the unit be taller and the bed be lower, if that makes sense.
