2021 Porsche Cayenne GTS Oil Change

Sometimes we like to see what all the new car excitement is about here at BreitWerks. The 2021 Porsche Cayenne GTS is quite a machine. Unfortunately the annual service and oil changes are not for the feint of heart.

Boy, I was considering getting a Cayenne V8, but after seeing this video, I'm glad I got my 2021 X5M and will certainly keep it. Only thing needed to change oil and filter is to remove the oil filter and oil pan drain plug from underneath vehicle. BMW conveniently cut a couple of holes in the shear plate under neath vehicle so it doesn't need to be removed. No panels, covers etc. to remove.

Thanks for the detailed steps! Just did this on a 2020 turbo and came here looking for the right spot to install the filter housing o-ring. It looks like there wasn’t one installed in this video? Realize this is 2 yrs old, but wondering if the o-ring install just didn’t make it into the video?

Crazy to have non reusable fasteners that must be removed to change the oil filter.

You ever come across that oil filter housing crack due to heat?

Next time try using an oil extractor for getting the used oil out. There is a red colored plug where the dip stick would go. Insert oil extractor tube of correct size.

The good thing about this? Everything is on top of the engine. With my second generation, I am under the car.

Damn. No wonder my Porsche dealer charges me $600 for an oil change in my 2022 GTS Cayenne Coupe. These Germans !! 🤦🤦🤦🤦
