A bit sensationalist. Many lakes in Yellow Stone are way deadlier to humans and other life forms. This lake thrives with not just flamingoes, but rare species of alkaline fish and microorganisms! It's truly a remarkable place that is a unique tourist attraction.

Not all cyanobacteria are deadly by the way. If so, we'd all be dead. Certain conditions can cause planktonic cyanobacteria to rapidly reproduce, creating algal blooms that DO color the water they are in, sometimes turning red. Not all algal blooms produce toxins, however. The toxicity is a byproduct of other conditions (Like literal lakes of toxic salts and gases). The cyanobacteria from Natron do not themselves produce phycotoxins (this is what DOES lead to toxic algal blooms, but it is not always guaranteed to happen).
