Red Copper Flipwich is a dual-pan sandwich maker. Today I try it out with a grilled cheese sandwich, s'mores, hot dogs, and a hamburger patty. I bought Red Copper Flipwich at a local Target for $20.

I own this and have a tip for doing greasy items, do not flip the pan. I use a rubber spatula and turn mine over by hand. And I love how it cooks. Also, you don't always need to clean in between uses, depending on what you cook. The grilled cheese for example, just take a paper towel while pan is still warm and just wipe it off. I find that the pan lasts much longer. Hope this helps.

I have a similar device with a longer handle that we used over an open fire at our camp. It is cast aluminum. Still have it 55 years later and it still works great.

I've had this for a couple months. One sandwich I make and really like is just a toasted sandwich with cheese and sliced meat, with no butter, just bread on dry. I use different types of breads sometimes I have to cut the ends off to make it fit. I love it. And it's easy to clean & if you open it all the way up, the pans will separate for easier cleaning (discovered that one by accident, it goes back together easily too)

I remember using small cast iron versions of this you put in the fire while camping to make little round sandwiches. So many fond memories.

I got one for Christmas and used it for the first time today. Your review seems spot on. It's perfect for a grilled cheese or a small melt. It IS a bit flimsy, but my handle clasp stayed clipped the entire time. As long as you don't try to get ambitious with it, it's a useful little tool to have in the kitchen.

I got one of those for Christmas last year, I use it a lot. Even just today for grilled cheese. A year later and nothing has stuck on yet, a blast of hot water and it’s usually good. I’m happy with it, would recommend. I also like to cook eggs in it sometimes, makes it look funny and also perfect sandwich shape.

Your grilled cheese sandwich cooked that way because of the odd way you put the cheese onto the sandwich before cooking. Some of the cheese was hangin' off the sides & that is why your sandwich turned out the way it did, all messy like that.

I love your review, I wanted to buy one of these and after watching your review I decided not to. Not that the review was negative, but the commercials make it seem so fast and easy, magical. You made it seem real. Just another gadget that I don't really want in my kitchen. It still takes time, I still have to clean it up, and it's small so it doesn't work for more than 1-2 servings of most things. Thank you for saving me $20!

i had something similar growing up, it was used for sandwiches and the handles were extremely long so whenever you went camping you could cook over the fire. it worked just like this

my grandma had one of these things made out of cast iron, def durable but heavy!

Tip: keep a thick damp dish cloth handy, and wipe the outside if it drips. That way you don't cook the grease onto the outside of the pan. But be careful: you don't want a thin cloth, because the damp will transfer the heat very quickly otherwise and burn you.

Is a plumber I had to tell you to stop pouring grease down the drain

I'm not expecting a whole lot since I really didn't spend a lot of money on it. I got the square pan and the surface didn't last super long but I think I got my money's worth. Thank you for the review. I learned about the burger grease without learning it myself. God bless you all.

If you keep emptying that thing over your sink, your going to clog your drains and have a big plumbing bill.

These are only $9.99 now on Amazon so I picked up a few just for stocking stuffers this Christmas. Thanks for the review

Only just found your videos. Can't stop watching them now. Great reviews, and testing. Sadly, every time I watch one of your vids I really have the urge to cook... even though I've eaten.

My parents called this a pudgie-pie maker. Used for camping to make fruit pies, sandwiches, and some other things that depend on how creative you are. You find one cheaper in the camping isle at your local store-thingy.
