John Lennon and Paul McCartney were like brothers in The Beatles, along with George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Lennon-McCartney: A formidable writing partnership. However, when they broke up in 1970, the pair were in an intense feud seeing the release of 'How Do you Sleep' and 'Too Many People' - both diss tracks.

Hey Great video! Also remember that after John said "A pretty face may last a year or two, but pretty soon they'll see what you can do" in the song "How do You Sleep at Night?" a supposed jab at McCartney. I'll call it a jab and a complementary song at the same time...A venting of emotions as each they felt at the moment of inception in the moments that they happened, or, as remembered ha ha ha ha
In any event, two of the greatest lyricists/songsmiths that ever did live...as I am one-of-the-same.

I graduated in 86, and my favorite band was the original Van Halen. Also loved Zeppelin &;the Who, but always knew nobody touched the Beatles. Absolutely the greatest songwriters ever!

Paul & John were like brothers but they made up their differences before John was killed. John’s last words to Paul ‘think of me now and then, old friend’

Why did John Lennon say on the day he died that Paul was like a brother to him and all families fight, but he would do anything for him, if he hated Paul.

No, I did not learn anything from this video.

John and Paul eventually reconciled before John was killed.

Agree with David's, I've picked it up, years ago, he was unhappy, and depressed

The story of John turning away Paul in mid-70s NYC because Paul came by the next day unannounced said a lot. John wouldn’t allow himself to be too comfortable, to have his guard down. John rejected Paul trying to get the partnership back because John needed to stay a loner. People are like that. It was John’s way.

John said Paul was the greatest self promoting PR man in History. John believed Paul was trying to make the Beatles all about him. He believed Paul's music was too commercial.

“McCartney, always one to write about personal experiences” - what? He really lacked that in his songwriting. Admittedly he could do it, but most of his lyrics are stories. Lennon was the one who wrote about his life, he just didn’t have McCartney’s gift for melody or musical ability.

Being mad at is not hating. It was more of a long sibling row.

John Lennon did not hate Paul McCartney. Maybe you just learned something new.

We all know John was saying, “How can you sleep at night?” Because he was being fake Paul.

Faul.

John wanted to tell the world.

John Lennon was always an unhappy guy. He had a sad upbringing, and and lost some close friends in his adult years.

Paul kept the Beatles together, for as long as he could. Paul, in the end, was the most faithful Beatle, in the end.

Lennon was jealous of Mccartney. Mccartney would tour, release consistent top 10 after top 10 with a few #1s under his belt. Mccartney could also do other styles like prog rock, funk, soul, acoustic hard rock....things Lennon couldn't do. He was hoping Paul would crawl back on his knees to him. Of course, that wasn't going to happen, Paul was more happier with Wings than with the Beatles

Lennon had conscious jealousy, Paul McCartney. Loan was the leader of the group super talented. McCartney had twice as much time as Lennon and he hated that I think.
