How to Make Cider Without a Press #homebrew #cider #cidermaking #homebrew #apples

H apple harvest season is here which means that CIDER SEASON is here! Wether you enjoy spiced cider, sweet cider, or hard cider the excitement is tangibly in the air. Being able to juice your own apples can take you love for cider to the next level, but how are you supposed to make cider without a press or a fancy juicer? This problem was solved for me while reading a beloved cider making book. It turns out that releasing the delicious apple juice can be done with a rather simple method. All you need is a grater, a mesh bag, and a container to catch your fresh, sweet, cider. I truly hope that this video helps you enjoy your very own homemade cider. The taste is sweet, and incredibly refreshing. Leave it as it is, spice it, or you can use this method to make hard cider from fresh apples. Enjoy!

My mission for this channel is to teach individuals fun and useful skills and to empower others to become more self sufficient and sustainable. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the video. I’m going to make some out of my Fuji apples because I have enough applesauce and apple butter😊

Use a food processor with the grater attachment. We did a ton of apples with that, gives loads of juice.

Love the channel! Came across it doing some google searching. I have some wild grapes growing and I was thinking of turning them into a wine. There aren't that many of them and I've never done homebrewing before so I was wondering if you'd have any tips for that

Ingenious!! However, we have plans of pressing around 1000 apples this fall hands would start to hurt hehehehehe - Oh and guess what, we may have found a 10bbl brite tank here locally so we might be able to make some commercial batches sooner than we thought

Is it neccesary to wash before gratering ? (the natural yeast on the apples will be washed away)

What is the difference between Apple Juice and Non-Alcoholic Apple Cider? Do you even need a starter, just 2 days in the Oven after heating up for 1 min?

You can get more by mixing the pumice with a little water and giving it another squeeze

This is apple JUICE, not cider... Cider has to be fermented

This is a step in the right direction but I believe using whole crushed apples without straining just fermentation of the lot
