The Seattle Seahawks were able to seize control of the NFC West as Geno Smith and Mike Macdonald's stellar defense lead Seattle over the Miami Dolphins for their third consecutive win to start the year. Also, Richard reacts to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens taking out Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys, Caleb Williams' struggles continuing as the Chicago Bears lost to the Indianapolis Colts, Sam Darnold looking like an MVP candidate as the 3-0 Minnesota Vikings blew out C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans, the Detroit Lions nipping at their heels (and kneecaps) in the NFC North as they shut down Kyler Murray's Arizona Cardinals, Andy Dalton taking over Bryce Young and leading the Carolina Panthers over the Las Vegas Raiders, and Justin Fields further complicating the QB1 battle in Pittsburgh as he led the Steelers to a 20-10 victory over Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers in the absence of Russell Wilson.

Zach Charbonnet had some outstanding runs in this game. Loved watching his physicality and determination. He reminded me of Chris Carson today. K9 and Charbonnet are a duo to be feared. Watch out NFL.

I aint mad at the 49ers offense...they were great...Sherm is right, Bell dropping that pass late in the 4th was absolutely unacceptable! Defense needs to start putting the clamps on these teams!

Niners fan here, everything Sherman said is spot on. The defense needs to wake up, 2 losses in a row because they don’t show up. Purdy is elite. Proved it this game, thank you for bringing up Burrow as well as a comparison.

People don't realize that MN was actually a good team last year because they had insanely bad fumble luck the first half of games before Cousins got hurt and then they lost Cousins and were missing like 10+ players at the same time throughout the season. Remember the first week they played Detroit after playing Josh Dobbs, Jaren Hall, and Nick Mullens they were still playing in a position to win the division and they would have beat Detroit but Nick Mullens lost his grip on a ball when he was not pressured and had a wide open JJ to win the game and threw a duck. Minnesota would have had a very good chance to win the division last year if healthy. They improved their defense well and their running game. Darnold was/is the wildcard and he is performing.

49ers fan here, and I think Sherm's take on the game is pretty spot on. The 49ers defense and special teams are playing badly, and imo are the primary reason for this embarrassing loss. Equally bad are all those dropped balls: 6-7 drops in a single game is ridiculous - that last drop by Bell was shocking. Game would have been over without those drops, even with the craptacular play by the defense and special teams.

if the hawks o-line can ever become even avg they could be trouble. both of geno's ints were off of tipped balls. he's still so rarely getting enough time to get through even the first two reads. i really hope they can get it together because it looks (scheme-wise) like this hawk's offense has huge potential if geno's given the time to execute.
