Nice project. Here is a little bit of info that may help you. When using a bench grinder mounted wire brush, get a brass coated one that is listed as "fine". That way when wire brushing aluminum items, it doesn't leave a pitted finish on the aluminum surface and is easier on a lot of metals. And it seems to remove old paint and rust just as good too. Just an idea I found out myself. Thumbs Up!

it doesn't look like you let the paint stripper sit it looks like you just painted it on and tried to scrub it off with paint stripper like that you're supposed to let it sit for a good while and also why wire wheel everything if you're just going to sandblast it?

Water in oil? = incorrect use of the compressed air circuit (Condensation)...
