It’s crazy how flared pants used to be a meme that got clowned on (ie the “bootcut bandit”) and now they are back in style again. Goes to show that fashion is cyclical and trends aren’t everything

Just to let people know, I had never worn a pair of 517’s before watching this video, but as Drew has become one of my inspirations in terms of trying new things that I wouldn’t have before, I got a pair. Let me tell y’all they’re so comfortable, soft and got so much room to work and maneuver, they’ve become my most worn pants of 2024!! Hats off to Drew for the recommendation and the brief history behind this pair of pants!

I just thrifted some corduroy 517s and they looked amazing but had never tried "bootcut" before. Had no idea these were popular back in the 60s, its crazy how some styles always come back! These are gonna be a go to in my fall rotation because of how comfortable they are

I am old school and I love the 517s!!! They are definitely my favorite. I could care less about fashion trends. If I have a favorite style, I wear them regardless of the latest trend!! The 501s are awesome too!!!

517 ❤. Levis should continue to produce it with quality cotton and all possible colors. Light colors are less available.

Here in venice (italy) is a bit hard to find good vintage levis, so retail is almost the only option and the waterless option I think it is a very good choice!

I think i'll look for 646 since this 517 barely have that bellbottom look because this were just designed for boots (bootcut). I started to wear clothes now like in the 70s. Music in the background "stayin alive" by beegees.lol

Could you possibly do a video on the Levi's Western Fit, it's more of a Cowboy/Rodeo fit. I think they may be a limited line so they might be discontinued but I think they are great alternatives to 517s and 527s. Thanks!
