it only uses url to generate description. it does not read the image.

As a text-based AI model, I am unable to directly view or access images via URLs. However, I can try to help you if you describe the image or provide context. If you have any questions or concerns related to the image, please let me know, and I'll do my best to assist you.

Misleading video. It only looks at the text in the URL to determine what product it is. It doesn't actually look at the image. If you have a URL without all those keywords it won't work.

Nice vid, but isn't it just using the URL to generate the description? It won't connect to the internet unless you have the Search plugin

Why doesn't it work? The AI itself even says it can't do it. Here is one of it's responses to doing EXACTLY what you did ''As a text-based AI, I am unable to directly view or analyze images.''

Look at any of your URLs, it contains the full description of a picture in textual format. So ChatGPT does NOT use the image itself instead it uses the TEXT of the url.

CHATGPT can't see the images yet, it uses the link data to make the description.

It just detect the text based on the given link, if you upload a img to a drive and paste the link it will print "As an AI language model, I do not have access to view the image you have shared as I do not have internet browsing capabilities. However, based on the URL you have provided, it appears to be a Google Drive link to an image file. If you could provide a description of the image, I would be happy to assist you in interpreting it"

is there a website that could explain a graph? or curve ? could GPT do that, how?

Lol, chatgpt is using url slug text to generate the answer.
If you try any short link url or any url with no meaningful text, it will tell you : "I'm sorry, but as an AI language model, I cannot directly process images."

For anyone not able to do this. All you have to do is click on the three dots around your profile area and enable the beta feature

Don't you think in your example ChatGPT relied solely on keywords within the image URL?

Great info, Peter. Many thanks. Could you please recommend an ai app that can create a lifestyle image when you upload your photo (e.g. uploading a bag that person will wear as output photo)?

I haven't tried a LINK to an image but when I upload one, ChatGPT says it "cannot read an image." OK.... then why offer the ability to upload an image in the first place??
