I got this over the weekend. And it was marvellous. Everything is programmable. Superbly fast start up speed. But you'll still get the puck stuck after the portafilter is removed.

I used to make coffee for a living in Australia and was taught by a barista. With the exception of the weak steamer it looks even better than the commercial machine I used. I love the little details Breville has thought of such as the wheels so you can easily turn it when wanting or fixed in place otherwise. Not cheap though, certainly suited to people who know how to properly make coffee. 🐶

Thank you :-)

I love watching these videos; I found your channel back in 2009 when I was going through a "coffee expertise" phase of learning, and watch them every now and then when I want to cleanse my mind of all the technological iPhone/Computer/Gadget junk that is inside it.

Gail, you're a lovely lady - so friendly and happy - God bless you all.

I really like the professional feel of the videos and everything....but it's just not the same as the classics with Gail and Kat. That's what made me fall in love with Seattle Coffee Gear. That's why I'm going to buy my machine from you and not from another company. To me, that was your biggest selling point.

Mike, i agree. It was the people that set these videos apart from everyone else reading machine specs. You can have all the flash and lav mics you want, but if people don't connect with the talent, then the message is wasted. The talent doesn't look relaxed or comfortable anymore.

Good Job! Every story has its time and somehow this feels like "SCG 2.0". Very interesting video and very professional presenters! Who is Kat?!

The review was great, production qualities were stellar, and the video was well structured and informative, but I'll be honest it made me a little sad thinking about the old video format with Gammy and Kat. Was such a pleasure to watch. But I guess as they say, all good things... 😞

It really sucks you don't offer Profitec machines. I'd love to see you reviewing them.

Is there a tune up kit for this Breville dual boiler?  There seems to be for most machines, but I don't see one for this machine?

Could you do a quick video comparing the steam adjustments on the BES920XL like if the higher temperature will steam faster or more powerfully?

This is a great machine...I knew nothing about espresso or coffee machines and I went straight from instant coffee(yuck!) to the BES920 and great coffee every time...

Hi Gail. Thank you for the awesome videos! Can you please share your insight on the following two scenarios:
1) Breville Oracle BES980XL, Retail $2000.
2) Breville Dual-Boiler BES920XL + Breville BCG820BSSXL (Pro Grinder) ($1500)

I understand that #1 is a compact setup, and#2 will take up more space. Now, assuming you prefer your grinder to be separate, what are you getting with #1 which you are not getting in #2, that is worth the extra $500? The only difference I understand are:
1) Automatic tamp (would be real nice to have)
2) Temperature control (useful, but adding a $15 thermometer could take can achieve this.
3) Americano Button (dont care for this)

Is there any other difference, such as the specs of the boiler?

Hi Gail, I have a question. How come the BES920XL has the one cup and the 2 cup buttons, if both have a factory setting of 30 seconds. I searched on the net and I see that the extraction time for a single or a double shot should be the same. I do not get it, because the double shot has twice the amount of water in it. Thanks

what about reliability and shot quality between this and the profitec pro 300??
