Not sure exactly WHY you should be Exercising During or After Breast Cancer? Then this video is for you! I discuss what I consider to be the Top 7 Reasons you should exercise During AND After a Breast Cancer Diagnosis. Exercise has so many fantastic side effects, particularly when aiming to combat the side effects of Breast Cancer Treatment.

Many people have no idea they should be exercising DURING their Breast Cancer Treatment - check out COSA Position Statement below to find out just how MUCH research has been done in previous years that strongly recommends the role of Exercise in Breast Cancer.

**EDITING NOTE** I mention risk reduction in this video that is not correct (or I can't seem to find the research article I read the statistic in) - Breast Cancer Risk Reduction with Exercise is in the realm of 20% (not 50-60% as I mention in the video - sorry about this mistake ladies and gents). I will try to find the research article I am alluding to and share it!

Jen, yes exercise helped me mentally feel so much better and motivated . After doing Pilates for 3 years l was told to stop during my radiation period. That was bad advice which sadly l did follow. 7 weeks ago l started ‘pickle ball’ ( finished radiation last November) wow how much fun is this, lots of laughs and exercising at the same time. If you can hit a ball, give it a try. It will help beat those cancer blues.

Thank you Jen! I am newly diagnosed and yet to get my plan of care. Other recent medical treatment has decreased my workouts and made me realize how quickly deconditioning can occur. So happy to have found you and to learn that I do not have to lose more ground. I appreciate your backing up your facts with research 👍 My partner has worked out his whole life and pushes me to keep moving primarily for the endorphins and the brain clearing effects. I will make sure to keep regular exercise a part of my treatment plan!!
