It would be an idea to show the whole unit, so we can see what you’ve replaced...

WARNING: DANGER OF DEATH! In some fluorescent light circuits, when one end of an LED tube is inserted, the other end that is still out becomes live if the current is on. DO NOT TOUCH THE PINS!

The tube can be installed by giving it a 45 degree rotation (one audible click) or a full quarter rotation (90 degrees) until it clicks a second time. Check that the LED tube you buy is being sold with an LED starter. It replaces the fluorescent starter and docks in the same place that the fluorescent starter comes out of. Some starters are a bayonet fit into a hole about one inch diameter in the lighting fixture.

Finally, fluorescent lights with certain types of ballast will need to have their circuits amended before they can be fitted with LED lamps. The suggestion to observe the effect of any ballast before proceeding can't succeed if your light has stopped working. Then you will need good DIY skills to do a competent job and not void your house insurance or your place on earth.

I have an Olson brand LED flourescent light with digital ballast. The tube holder made of plastic is broken which needs replacement. How do I transfer the working items to my old unused flourescent light container? Will it work as I will remove the old ballast from the old container and put in the digital ballast.

What if the starter goes into the side of the fixture. And I thought LED bulbs have their own Starter built-in.

Why do you need an "LED starter" for a T8 LED ?

The T8 LED in this video is the Philips/Osram type, with the LIVE and NEUTRAL pins on one end, unlike the universal types with LIVE at one end, NEUTRAL at the other.

So, you can't just buy the LED tube bulbs and put them in the fixture? I did this yesterday and they work for a little while but went out. I'm confused
