Which tiny buggy is worth your hard earned dollar? Watch and find out! (Ps both are great but one clearly wins in our opinion!)

Seeing these at Mingo makes me wanna skate there again lol.

Impressed how the micro B wheelie’d out of the one landing. I think they gave it enough power to be the scale equivalent of a 17.5 stock 1/10 buggy. They need a stock micro racing class at EN!

You can get Lithium AA batteries for the mini-z and they have a bit more voltage. That will give you a higher top speed and a bit more power.

Thanks for the comparison.

I got a Micro B for $85

Are you using the rechargeable eneloop racing AAA batteries for the mini Z ?

The losi IS faster, but it's also a little too fast for it's scale in some situations. The kyosho is meant to be a very scale vehicle, speed and all, not really a basher. They're meant for 24th scale carpet or foam tracks and driving both I'd say the kyosho is much easier to control and race with, but if youre willing to master it the losi can be a better option because of its greater speed.

Mini z basically always have repair parts cuz kyosho is really good about that, not sure how long losi will make the replacement parts. Hop up parts are gonna be more available with the Z too, whereas the losi youre gonna be hard modding changing most things.

Its hard to choose between them, and it should be because theyre both excellent in what theyre good at. Id say go kyosho if you want a long term investment in a moddable rc, and losi if you want quick fun nao, or a faster but harder to control top end. Cant really go wrong either way.

Don't use alkaline batteries with the mini-z, they dont have the power. Use good rechargeable AAA batteries, my reccomendation: Eneloop
There's a first run video on my channel with the mini-z brushless buggy using eneloop and normal batteries. The Eneloop provide substantial more power and i find them even better than the specialized mini-z accus (kyosho speedhouze for example). Still wating on my preordered Losi micro b, which will not arrive until december (europe). Thanks for the video!

Any chance of doing another comparison but the *only* difference would be the use of lipos in the Z?

need the brusless upgrade for the kyosho. its 4wd and heavy for the brushed motors. it really comes alive with brushless and will likely handle the higher power better. Durability however will be an issue for the kyosho.

Kyosho Mini Z Buggy looks like a toy car from toy r us its so slow and double the price of a team losi b micro, not worth it

I love running AAA batteries in the mini cars. That's 1 reason i like Mini Z. Get some good rechargeables for a decent price, can use them in other electronics too. I got a stage 2 motor for like 13 bucks on ebay, way worth the money.
Losi is a great deal though. I dont think you can go wrong with that one, I Like them both.
The updated V2 brushless kyosho buggy just came out. Its over priced, but i got it anyways...

Kyosho needs to step up and just make a lipo version. Its so expensive for such a bad battery set up

Huge screw up guys, the mini z is still in beginner mode from factory and limits it to 50% throttle

I have both: they are not made for skate parks, speed on an adequately sized track does not make that much of a difference, handling is not the same at all (mini-z is miles ahead), the micro-b comes assembled like literal shit, I had to reassemble my rear diff and entire steering out of the box cause they were misassembled, battery situation is way better on the mini-z where you can just keep a ton of aaas charged and ready to run and swap them when it's needed, micro-b batteries are nowhere to be found at least in europe, they are custom sized, they're known to fail after few charges and take 1 hour to recharge for 20 minutes of runtime. The micro-b costs half as much and is worth half as much, I find the mini-z to be the superior car in every aspect except repairability, but obviously if all you want is speed and bashing at the skate park the quicker car will look better 100% of the time. Just do not expect 1/24 buggys to be engineered to do that well.

The kyosho is cool but those plastic gears suck and are expensive to repair that’s why I got rid of it and got the losi

I can’t believe the mini z is still almost $200.
